Omg 30 Ex – light silver exterior solar film
Omg 30 Ex is a light, silver solar film for the outside of the window – it fits on the outer face of the glass. It transmits 32% of daylight (VLT) and rejects 71% of the sun's total energy (TSER): a compromise between letting light in and effective sun reflection.
Sun protection on the outside of the glass
An exterior film stops the heat before it reaches the glass – which is why the exterior versions are 15–20% more effective than their interior counterparts. The trade-off: outdoors they last a little less, 4 years and more, against 9+ years indoors. There is detailed guidance in our solar window film section.
Which model to choose? Start with your windows
The darker the tint, the stronger the protection – large windows need a darker tint. Omg 30 Ex is the light one among the exterior models: it is usually chosen for smaller windows, where you want to keep the heat out but still prioritise daylight.

Self-adhesive fitting
Omg 30 Ex is self-adhesive: the clear glue is protected by a transparent liner that comes off before fitting – don't forget this step! Always use the mounting concentrate and squeegee, so the tint goes on evenly and without air bubbles.

Semi-mirror effect for privacy
Like other light tints, Omg 30 Ex creates a slight mirror effect that gives some privacy by day – milder than the dark models, since the effect grows with how dark the tint is. On smaller windows it is often enough.
